Funding Opportunities
ODOT has opened the fifth round of its Community Charging Rebates program, providing approximately $5.5 million for EV charging projects at multifamily housing, workplaces, and publicly accessible parking areas. This round expands eligibility to include DC fast charging, with rebates of up to $8,000 per Level 2 port and $80,000 per DC fast charging port. Eligible applicants include businesses, nonprofits, public entities, Tribes, and multifamily property owners.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has announced $180 million through the 2026 Diesel Emissions Reduction Act (DERA) National Program to replace or upgrade older diesel engines and equipment with cleaner technologies. Eligible applicants include government and Tribal agencies, port authorities, nonprofits, higher education institutions, and eligible fleets. Funding can support vehicle and equipment replacements, cleaner or zero-emission engines, emissions-reduction technologies, idling reduction, alternative fuels, and fuel-efficiency improvements. Questions are due November 24, 2026.

The program connects community stakeholders with national laboratory experts to provide 40–60 hours of free, short-term technical assistance over 3–4 months. This support addresses near-term clean energy challenges across areas such as clean power, mobility, buildings, and the grid. Eligible participants include local governments, tribes, metropolitan and regional planning organizations, community-based and nongovernmental organizations, municipal or cooperative utilities, and academic institutions. The Airport Zero Emissions Vehicle (ZEV) and Infrastructure Pilot Program improves airport air quality and facilitates use of zero emissions technologies at airports. Created in 2012, the program allows airport sponsors to use Airport Improvement Program (AIP) funds to purchase ZEVs and to construct or modify infrastructure needs to use ZEVs.
The annual deadline for pre-applications is November 1 each year. Airports must submit pre-applications to their FAA Airports District Office (or FAA Regional Office for Regions without ADOs) by that date.

Renewable Diesel Introduction

Treasure Valley Clean Cities hosted a Renewable Diesel (RD99) introduction event with both in-person and virtual participation. We had in person and virtual attendees, representing Idaho Power, Boise State University, the City of Boise Fleet Services, Coeur d'Alene Tribe, WinCo Foods, Idaho Fish & Game, and more. The event covered technical specifications, performance data, production processes, environmental benefits, market trends, policy updates, and financial considerations. We’re excited to announce that RD99 is now available at Conrad & Bischoff in Nampa, ID, both at the pump and for delivery.
